Thompson, Fear & Loathing was an at times unsettling, at times disturbing, at times entrancing, at times seductive, and at times terrifying trip through the addled memories of an American mind featuring the likes of hypnotists, lounge singers, clown-faced gonzo orgies, heroin addict stand-up comedians, drag queen races, patriotic interpretive dances, and an all-you-can-eat Vegas-style buffet.
